The Disability Services Commission provides statewide services to people with disabilities within Western Australia. We offer a variety of employment, training and career opportunities across a number of programs and in a range of settings.
Working in the disability field brings rewards to everyone — the workers, people with disabilities, and society as a whole, as we strive towards creating “welcoming communities which facilitate citizenship, friendship, mutual support and a fair go for everyone” (Disability Services Commission Strategic Plan 2006–2010). There are few fields that can deliver as much job satisfaction as disability services.
The Disability Services Commission is a registered training organisation. People working in direct care positions in the Commission’s accommodation services can gain on-the-job accredited qualifications Certificate III and Certificate IV in Disability Work.
In addition to disability support work, the Commission is a large public sector organisation providing job opportunities for a range of professions including occupational therapy, clinical psychology, speech pathology, social work, accounting, information technology, human resource management, project management and research.
