Nominations for membership of the Ministerial Advisory Council on Disability

Date: 12/05/2017 - 02/06/2017

Venue: Western Australia

Nominations are open for membership of the Ministerial Advisory Council on Disability (MACD).

The 14 member MACD provides independent advice to the Minister for Disability Services on a range of issues affecting West Australians with disability, their families and carers. The MACD comprises people with disability, family members and/or carers, advocates, service providers and others with knowledge and expertise of disability. The WA Cabinet appoints council members.

Council members work to produce quality researched information and advice for the Minister for Disability Services. Ideally, members have personal and/or professional networks that may alert them to emerging issues and assist them with consultation and research.

People who have skills, knowledge or experience of disability are invited to nominate for membership of the Council.

From this application process, a pool of applicants will be retained on file for possible recruitment over the next two years.
