Dementia Awareness Month

Dementia Awareness Month encourages Australians to become dementia-aware, have a better understanding of what it is like for a person to live with dementia, and ultimately be encouraged to create communities where people with dementia are supported to live a high quality of life with meaning, purpose and value.

NDIS and Me - Steps to self-manage

Venue: The People Place, 19 Kent Street, Busselton, WA, 6280

Down Syndrome Western Australia invites people with Down syndrome (and their families) living in the lower South West area to attend an information session from 10:30 – 12:30pm on Saturday, 2 September in Busselton.

Dance Ability Dance Night

People with disability are invited to Dance Ability Dance Night, a staffed and safe nightclub event to be held in Fremantle on 4 September.

Come and Try Golf - Bicton

Venue: Point Walter Golf Course, Honour Avenue, Bicton WA 6157

Have a swing at Empower Golf Australia’s free golf clinic for people with disability on 6 September. Come and Try Golf clinics are the ideal way to introduce new people to golf for the first time, or reintroduce former players to the game they love, after accident or illness.

Come along to one of the WA Disabled Sports Association’s (WADSA) Expos to find out how industry professionals and individuals can become involved with WADSA’s Conservation, Adventure and Nature (CAN) program.
