The barriers that prevent people with disabilities from participating in everyday life are often easily overcome.  This section gives information on how the community, business and schools can include people with disabilities. 

• Count Us In - provides community, schools and business with detailed information and resources about how to better include people with disabilities.
• Planning for better access - This section explains how the community and business can plan for accessible buildings, services, facilities, information, events and consultation

Awards and initiatives

• The Count Us In Awards acknowledge the work that is being done across our community to enhance access and inclusion of people with disabilities.
• The Making A Difference Awards are presented each year in recognition of outstanding efforts by volunteers that make a difference to the lives of people with disabilities in Western Australia.
• The You’re Welcome WA Access Initiative aims to improve access for people with disabilities.  The initiative provides practical information to assist business and community groups expand their customer base by making their services more accessible.
