The Commission provides two services for West Australians living in rural and remote areas of the State.
The Early Years Country Team team provides the following services:
- assessment and diagnosis of intellectual disability and autism
- coordination and delivery of early childhood development programs
- training for families and communities dealing with behaviour and development issues
- a consultancy service for people seeking assistance with behaviour management or mental health issues associated with their disability.
The Country Resource and Consultancy team provides support to all country-based therapists. Team members help therapists develop knowledge and skills in providing services for people with disability, whether they are employed in government departments or in private practice.
