Collie wins national inclusion award

The Shire of Collie has won the Excellence in Community Design Award in the 10th annual National Disability Awards, held at Parliament House in Canberra in November. 

The National Disability Awards recognise the achievements of people and organisations that have improved the lives of people with disability. The awards are  also a major part of the Commonwealth Government’s celebration of International Day of People with disability.

The Shire of Collie has undertaken a number of improvements and upgrades to the CBD, the town’s swimming pool and country surrounds to provide a diverse, sustainable and inclusive community where people want to live, visit and invest.
