Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR)

Includes information about workshops and information sessions for parents and carers of school-aged children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

National Disability Information Gateway

The National Disability Information Gateway (Disability Gateway) is an Australia-wide resource to assist all people with disability, their families and carers to locate and access services, including income and finance supports, employment, education, and health and wellbeing.

National Disability Abuse and Neglect Hotline

Australia-wide telephone hotline for reporting abuse and neglect of people with disability using government-funded services.

Disability Employment Services

Through Disability Employment Services, people with disability, injury or health condition may be able to receive assistance to prepare for, find and keep a job.

International Day of People with Disability

This is the central source of all information about International Day of People with Disability (IDPwD) in Australia and the National Disability Awards.

Department of Social Services (DSS)

DSS helps to support people with disability through programs and services and benefits and payments. DSS also helps to support Australians' mental health. Further support is provided through grants and funding for organisations delivering services for people with disability and people with mental illness. DSS works to support carers of people with a disability or severe medical condition, or frail aged, through programs and services, and benefits and payments for carers.

Red Cross respite

The Red Cross respite website provides carers with a flexible, interactive and supportive online environment, and access to information and support on a variety of respite-related services (including Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centres and services such as Young Carers, Mental Health respite, Disability and Frail Aged).
